Why tour here?

Sarah Wakely says

"Charlie Chaplin loved the seaside town of Waterville on the Ring of Kerry, and frequently holidayed here. There's a bronze statue of the actor erected in the town to commemorate him.

"As with most of the coastal towns along the Ring of Kerry, there's a large car park without a height barrier placed opposite the sea. It is free to park and, even in our seven-metre-plus 'van, there was room to pull up. Continuing along the seafront, there are spaces to pull in at the side of the road, but the majority of these are too short for motorhomes.

"The thing about Ireland is that it's a country of constant surprises. From the Atlantic views and the looming mountains, to the tiny villages and cosy pubs, there's always something around the next bend in the Ring to confound, astound and delight you. And, with luck, you might even be surprised by the weather."
