I’m not sure it’ll go quite as quickly as his ‘other’ vehicle, but I was interested to read this morning that reigning F1 world champion Jenson Button has put his 1970 Volkswagen Kombi up for sale. The gold-coloured, right-hand drive Microbus was fitted with a new 1600cc engine just a year ago, the vehicle is MoT’d until February, and the VW is said to be in good condition throughout. It comes complete with a Brawn baseball cap signed by Button, too.

Jenson’s VW is lot number 25 in Haynes’ Motor Museum’s car auction on 22 October, and has an estimate of £14,000-£18,000. You can find out more by visiting http://www.classic-auctions.co.uk/15/section.aspx/202
