I’m not sure it’ll go quite as quickly as his ‘other’ vehicle, but I was interested to read this morning that reigning F1 world champion Jenson Button has put his 1970 Volkswagen Kombi up for sale. The gold-coloured, right-hand drive Microbus was fitted with a new 1600cc engine just a year ago, the vehicle is MoT’d until February, and the VW is said to be in good condition throughout. It comes complete with a Brawn baseball cap signed by Button, too.

Jenson Button's VW camper

Jenson’s VW is lot number 25 in Haynes’ Motor Museum’s car auction on 22 October, and has an estimate of £14,000-£18,000. You can find out more by visiting
